when cranking up the 90gt the starter keeps trying to start the car. turned off the car and it was still trying to start, had to unhook cables from batter to turn off.

BUT the weird part is i cant put the cables back on without it sparking and damn near starting withought the keys in.

already bought new solenoid, so could it be the STARTER or BAD solenoid????

Don't replace parts just to replace them. I highly doubt it is the starter since the relay sends juice to the starter. the starter relay contacts maybe stuck closed or the car is wired wrong. Do you have a stock(large) starter or a 92+ PMGR starter?

Check your wiring first. Make sure you're not getting a short somewhere under the engine or down the passenger side. Check to make sure your solenoid is bolted up securely. If all else fails, pull the cover on your steering column and disconnect your ignition switch...then connect your battery. If you get no crazy sparkie, you found your problem...
