recently i got my 94 cobra chiped an tuned cuz i put in a E303 cam. when i first got it back two days ago, i drove it home, but it would die almost everytime i stopped at a light, it ran fine when i was driving though.

actually it was doin that before i even took it to get tuned and i even had to get it towed. so ya

yesterday the shop was messing with some screw on the throttle body(i think he said ivc or somethin) and it helped a lil but it still died here and there.

today i started my car and like 30sec. to 1 min. later it died again and now it wont start...it cranks...but wont start.

Any opinions on what it could be?

thanks,
willie

Thats Apex for you [Razz] try and put some gas into it. that used to happen to mine but i would put the gas peddle to the floor and it would start. ..hmm, you should start checking the volts, massair, idle sensor, throttle adjuster, fuel pressure and vaccums [patriot]

well, ya it started but with the maf unplugged. when i plugged it in it would surge so there fore that indicated i needed a tune.

Tell them to fix it or refund your tune. Pretty simple...

can you smell fuel? Sounds like it may be dumping fuel. I would say bad tune. I would rather have it surge than die. Can you pull the chip and see if the problem goes away?

im sure the tune is fine because ya we tried that already and it still does it. even unplugged the mass air, still does it. so i dont know. bad sensor maybe? idle? throttle sensor?

Mine has a Trick Flow stage 1 and I have to turn up the idle and lean it out with the regulator to get it to not surge at idle or die. It also runs alot better having the fuel pressure at 30 oppossed to having it at 39 and up. It won't really idle to well under 950-1100 rpm.
