so i saw a few posts on here about potential issues with the MAF and the solution being to clean it. as these are very delicate units what is the acceptable method to clean the MAF? is cleaning metal units different than plastic?

Kragen sells some MAF cleaner in a spray can. I just bought some but have not tried it yet.

the stuff form kragen works very well. my car had a rough idle and i suspected it was the maf. i cleaned it and the idle smothed out. make sure you let it air dry before you put everything back together.

throttle body cleaner will destroy any rubber components that might be in the upper part of the sensor i dont think its a smart idea to use it but if its all you have then whatever
