i need help on banch bleeding the mc for my 93 cobra mc....

i have the kit and everything i just dont have a vise nore do i kno where the piston (that im supposed to plung with a philips screwdriver) is located,

can someone help me, asap????

If you don't have a vice you can bench bleed the mc on the car but you will need 2 people. Just have your buddy work the brake pedal with the mc hooked up and you monitor the bleeding process. Once you work out all the air then just hook up your lines and bleed the calipers.

I really can't see why you don't know where the piston is. Its right smack on the back of the mc where it bolts to the booster. Looks like a round cylindrical thingy, ie a piston. But then again if its all bolted up and you bench bleed it on the car you don't have to worry about the piston or the vice.

so install the mc on the car and keep the fittings and clear hoses from the kit on the mc....

...then bleed it til theres no bubbles in the clear hoses.....

....take the hoses and fittings out and install the brake lines to the mc?

search for one of my threads from along time ago.
I asked the same question and ended up buying a little pump thingy that eliminated the need to bleed the mc. I can now bleed the whole system in minutes by myself. no need for anyone pressing the brake pedal.

If you do it while it's on the car jack the rear of the car up so the MC is level. This will help get all the air out of it.

i don't remember, but it is called power bleeder.

yeah, i have motive brand too.. it's great. you can flush the whole system in minutes.
It takes much longer removing the tires than bleeding the actual system.
