buddy of mine has a blown head gasket and he needs the car to last till he gets his tax return check and a bunch of customers at my work swear by sodium silicate aka: liquid glass i have heard two stories put it in ur cooling system and leave it and put in there and wait till it starts to foam and then drain and refill with coolant and water and drive. i even heard a guy say run it and and drain and let car sit over night and then refill with coolant and water.i know this isnt the correct fix for him but he needs to do something just wondering if there is any experiences with it here on the board thanx in advance!

my buddy bought a 4cyl notch a few months ago, it had a bhg and needed to be smogged, well he bought it to engine swap it but before he took it apart he got a bottle of block seal from napa, probably the same sodium silicate blend, did that, drove it a couple days later over to get smogged, it passed, then he's been driving it around to work and such for about a month [worship]

the engine had overheated to the point that it had seized, the stock electric fan somehow got unplugged, so I geuss the stuff works [Confused]
