I got my rear dropped and am ready to pull/change the rear upper control arm bushing. Ive read about a special tool that you can use to cut the work time down. Does anyone know if you can rent this tool from autozone or kragen? Also I have the bushing with the shell so Im wondering if anyone had some tips on getting the thing in. I know your supposed to press it from what im told. Any other way people have been successful?

bring your arms down to les schwab tire center in brentwood and ask for andrew (thats me) and ill do it for you. i wont charge you. just let me know.

The bushings are pressed into the rear end housing, not in the controll arm. I just hammer the old ones out then use a big socket on the ridge and drive the new ones in.

I got it in...Froze the bushing then used some grease, hammer and a big socket to pound her in.

I know, thats what I do but I dont think he has an air hammer to do it with.

easiest and cheapiest way is a small propane torch, and heat them up. put the new ones in the freezers for a day and use the whale sperm once you get the old ones out. super easy, take 5-10mins per.
