what does EEC-IV refering to a tranny stand for????

absolutely nothing.

EEC-IV refers to the ECU, or engine control unit. Like OBDII for 1996+ cars.

EEC-IV auto tranny's like the AOD are not computer controlled at all.

right on i didnt know but i did kno about the obd 1 and 2 i did a swap on my notch from a 4 clin ado to a 50 t5 i was wondering if there was any wires or harness i need to change from a ado to a t5 ????

you should get the trans harness from a t5 car, so the neutral switch and backup lites function right.

the harness connects in the drivers side kickpanel and runs under the carpet to a grommet in the trans tunnel where it connects to the trans.

takes 30 seconds to swap if you have the center console and front seat out.
