If the motor runs good and you are looking for more power I would start by adding some bolt ons. These won't do the motor any harm and you will get more power.
Start with a K&N (you did say stock ) and pulleys. Next I would add headers, h-pipe, and cat back. After that do intake, throttle body, maf, and 1.7 roller rockers.
In the meantime you can buy a used 94 block and start building it on and engine stand as funds allow. that way when the motor in the car finally takes a shit all you have to do is drop the new motor in and take all the bolt ons from the old motor and re-use them.

first things first, get gears, 3.73's if it's a stick, 4.10's if it's an auto.
then subframe connectors, a good full length set.
I would then upgrade to cobra brakes if I was you, it's only $300 to do the front!

Very good point Suspension will make the car more fun to drive. If it is a stick get a short shifter.
Also, after doing everything blind mentioned then get a set of Eibach Pro springs, Maximum Motorsports CC plates and some good shocks. Handling will be much better.
You may also need a set of rack offset bushings after lowering it.
You can then add a 4 point k-member brace, strut tower brace, and some better rear control arms and the car will be tight

thanks...appreciated...i was thining of doing that thing where i get a hold on an extra motor and drop it in until the 200k one goes out...lol...since u mentioned it thats what i'm gonna do...lol...i found a few good ones on mps autosalvage...so i can work on getting that...and practice building it myself along with those handy guide books...and like u said...transfer all the bolt ons when the time comes...once again ...thanks and i will be back again soon..lol...on this topic...

not to sound like a sucka but I had 3.73's on my 2000 gt/5 speed and it was my daily driver and i hated it. My first gear was practically a waste. If i were to do it over again i would've went with some 3.55's thats jus my opinion tho.
as for your '94 I would recommend a catless h or x pipe and some performance mufflers. this would definitely make you feel like your driving a beast! be prepaired to not enjoy your cell phone conversations while your driving tho. have fun!

well you do have a different car, different motor, different transmission gearing.DEFINATLY go with the 3:73 with a 94 gt.BTW you're the first one Ive EVER heard of complainging that 3:73's are to much for a modular motored car
