the car wont stay on when its cold, it keepd turning off. but when it heats up it turns and stays on..
what is it??

thats what i do, but when i start drivin it, ill come to a stop and it will still die..
it will start right back up, but i gotta keep feeding it gas...
i was thinkin it was idle air control valve, but as soon as i unplugged it, it died..so its not that.
any ideas???

It will die when the IACV is unplugged. Sounds like it's gunked up with carbon. Pull it off and check.

would a fuel filter cuz that if its pretty dirty,,,
last time i changes it was at 20G,,,its 60G right now...

Ok, in order what to check.
Try to blow through the fuel filter, check to see if its plugged.
Check the fuel preasure at the fuel rail.
Check and test the IAC
This is on 94-98, but same on 2000
IAC testing
Check the TPS sensor.
Heres how TPS. Yours would be the same as the 97-98

IAT sensor 1, circuit high output.

You might want to check for a bad intake gasket. If it is leaking the cold morning air will make the car die.

lmao.WOW good advice 2gunmotor sports its not a carburated car bra. anyways, good luck on your prob. it sounds like its the idle air control valve clean it out!

You probably have a dirty IAT sensor, or its going bad. Clean it first.

YUP YUP...i just cleaned the Air temp sensor, and IACV.. plus i changed the fuel filter ...it feels hella better and doesnt turn off anymore so maybe it just needed to be cleand,,,HAHA thanks hella much for everyones help..
