Though I couldn't stand the AOD car I had...
The 1st one sounds like a better deal being a one owner, untouched body car. The heads are a big plus also.
Swap in a 5spd & paint the spoiler and you will still be ahead.

I agree the first one sounds better yet I would be bored of the auto very quickly. If your even considering the second one then I'd assume you have enough cash for it,...thus enough cash to 5speed swap the first one.
Sometimes bad paint is a good thing if you know its the original paint and the body is strait. Then it's safe to say nothing is hidden under a fresh coat of paint that the second car might be. Second car sounds really good but $5500? Don't know.

A couple of things to consider:
- Make sure both cars have clean titles
- The second car won't pass smog (make sure the 1st one does)
- Make sure the frames are straight on both cars.
The 1st car seems to be a pretty good setup, although I don't like AODs. You "could" convert it to a 5 speed.
Unless the second car is "really" clean I think it is over priced.
Honestly, I wouldn't look at the mods as much as the general condition of the cars.

i would go with the first one, since its the original owner and atleast the aod has a shift kit on it so u could shift like a 5 speed.

yea.. the second one is $5500 but i can probably get it for $5000 or maybe even $4800.. the second one is firm. i dont like auto anyways and i dont know how to do transmission swaps? how much do you think it'll cost? if i get it.. im probably going to repaint the whole car BMW sterling silver. But yea.. lol! the second one wouldnt pass.. but i know people that'll make it pass anyways..but that'll be another $300.
