i finished doing my motor swap on my 86 notch. It a complete brand new short block with 165 afrs, tfs stage 1 cam, but stock intake, injectors, fuel pump. Also did the mass air conversion and a9l eec. I got the car to start ,but it drives and idels very rough. At idel, when i rev up the rpm guage twiks (jidders) and shakes and vibrates rough. I took the car around and it runs very very rough feels like it is put-putting. It is hesitating and thumping back and forth expecially when accelerating. I set the timing at 14. I ran the codes and i got a 41 and a 91 witch are both o2 senors. I checked fuel pressure i got 35 with vac connected and 39 with it off. I cleaned the maf, witch was already very clean. I checked the ground for the injectors and it is grounded.....Does anyone know if it would act this way if the o2's were bad???? Has anyone ever had this problem, or have a suggestions...

How old are your o2 sensors? If they were working fine before they shouldn't affect cold startup. You could have a vacuum leak on your EGR, PCV or in the back of the intake.
Check your 10-pin connector (salt and pepper shakers) for a solid connection.
Check your TPS voltage and did you set your rockers properly?

who did you adjusted your rockers? That might be the issue

is your cam set in properly if its running rough at idle and driving your timing could be retarded and cause alot of misfires if it cant be done i would suggest getting a different cam

my guess is a vacuum leak

i fixed the problem about the hesitating and studdering it still dies out though when i come to a stop. I read that for the mass air i need to tap into 2 wires for the speed senor wires for crusie conrtol and. I didn't find thoes wires behind the kick panel on drivers side and i looked on the tranny and i only have to black wires. The car runs prefect expect for the idel is a pretty rought ( jumps up to 900 and down to 300) in the morning the car runs good and doesn't die untill it starts to get hot.

the first problem was spec-fab sold me injectors that didn't work for my car and the second prob was the computer on top of the thoddle body and the idel screw needed to be ajusted.
