I was coming home from the show and I was coming up on My exit and the engine died so I coast off the off ramp and pull over and it fires back up so I drive it home and it dies on Me again when I pull onto My street? It's a 92 lx so I was thinking it might be My TPI? But usually don't they just quit working altogether or can it be intermitten (sp)? Any other ideas? Both fuel pump's seem to be working fine.

Sounds like the tfi module, or it coupld be an msd box going bad if you have one.

Yeah obviously I hope it's the tfi and not the btm.

I looked online at summit and they are on backorder till the 20th. I have a msd distributer but the stock tfi should work fine on there rite? I could probably get it through ford if that's the case.

I've heard you can test your TFI module at Autozone but I'm not sure.

I would only get a motorcraft TFI, not one from the parts store [patriot]
