my cousing block is done with(FUCKED).
Hes thinking of going with one of these company's
What think about the $2300CHP Streetfighter 347 Shortblock VS The 347 $2500D.S.S Pro Bullit Short Block. He is going Nitrous as well. it is his daily driver. he already has a h/c/i setup for what ever short block he decides to get. He's been getting quotes from rob's auto machine shop but he just dont want to get jipped so hes unsure what to do. but your opinons would help, thanks eddie

if Rob's prices are comparable to DSS and CHP, then I would go with them. They've built A LOT of motors and really know their shit

If you went with a reputable local builder your chances of getting jipped would be much lower.

Also, if you have problems with the motor you don't have to ship it back anywhere.

I ordered a mail order engine from Keith Craft and got burned twice. Do not make the same mistake , go w/ a local builder.

Another vote for local engine builder. My mail order pro bullet 306 turned out to be a 308 that failed after 10,000 miles.

I went with FPS Ford Performance Solutions in Anahiem. Its been 5 years and still running great! But between the two I heard CHP is much better than DSS.

All I can tell you is that you cant go wrong with DSS,,i have a Pro Mod 4.6 shortblock from them and its great,,,had it for 2 years already,,using 150 shot of Nx and never had a single problem with it,,engine keeps runing strong.
