I'm replacing the 302 in my '69 with a 5.0 and was wondering if I could use a standard rotation h2o pump on it?

I just don't want to have to go out and get a new radiator and re-route the tranny cooler lines,etc.. Thanks for the help everyone.

I use a standard rotation waterpump on my 5.0 and it works fine.

the stock waterpump on a foxbody 5.0 is reverse, as are all serpentine setups. I got mine from a `84 crown vic 351w that had a v-belt setup. Well I bought it from kragen, but that's the kind of car I told them I needed a waterpump for [Wink]

Ford has several water pumps. I did one on a 87 302 and had a water leak until I changed to the early timing cover. The reverse rotation timing covers have different inlets and they look almost the same.
