my 89 lx's throttle has been sticking but im not shure if thats what it is when i shift with my foot fully off the gas petal my rpms will go up about 200 rpms and will hold there for about 3 seconds and then it will drop it seems like the rpms go up when i push in the clutch anyone have any ideas i already lubed up the throttle cable and it didnt do anything anyone have any ideas let me know thanks

Have you checked your throttle body? Some of the cheaper aftermarkets like BBK will stick like how you are describing- lube the pivot shafts on the butterfly valve, check for play or tollerance as I have seen them worn out and not shutting/sticking..
Also check/lube the throttle linkage at the TB.-

is the throttle cable physically sticking, or is the idle just hanging?
scan the car for codes, but it sounds like your neutral switch/clutch switch circuit has a problem, or the VSS (vehical speed sensor) isn't hooked up...is your speedometer working?

mine did the same thing it was a cracked butterfly shaft in my accufab.

yea my speedo is working fine its kindof weird if im driving around normal its fine but if i really get on it it like trigers it and will do it untill i turn my car off then when i start it back up its fine untill i start nailing it

Yup Yup. Check that throttle body. They do wear out especially cheap ones.
