I believe the TFS street intake is powdercoated black or has the option to be, so I say yes.

It's not magnetic, it's electrostatic. And then it's just baked.

In trouble for C&L pipe? why? nothing wrong with having that. The stock one doesn't have a number on it so aftermarket one shouldn't need one should it should it. I have a buddy that is a Fremont cop...he was lookin at my engine and never mentioned anything about it. I didn't ask him specifically about that being an issue but I'd think he'd say something.

Also thanks guys for the input on the powder coating.

it's not about whether it is illegal or not, it's about whether the cop thinks it's illegal or not. two COMPLETLY different things. Since San Mateo county is being really stupid about this things they will ticket someone for anything that looks shiny or aftermarket under the hood. Someone i know got pulled over for having chrome dress up accessories and had to go get them signed off. the cop was too stubborn to listen to him and just gave him a ticket. he simply went to the police station, talked to the captain, said your officer is a dumbass and got it signed off.

however, that's not my main reason. I also like the stock look better than aftermarket. think it would be seem more at home if the pipe was black.
