I have a 93 Cobra the car has been acting fun, just going down the road at any speed at mostly 2grand. The car will drop the rpm's down to about 1800 and the car have act like it is running out of gas. I changed the fuel filter but it still does it. You can hear the pump come on then it goes off until your start the car then you can hear it run all the time. Do I need to change the pump and if so what size to get, the car still has the stock one in it and the ar is mostly stock too.

It is normal for the pump to shut off 3 second's after You turn the key to the accesory position if You don't turn the engine over. Have You noticed the pump getting louder?

Yes the pump is getting louder, I can hear it now when the car is running. Before I didn't hear it.

I've had few issues with the pumps that may be the problem..

1.) My pump started making wierd loud noises for a long period of time. I replaced the relay under the seat and it cured that.

2.) Another problem I had was the tank either baffle or strainer wasn't recieving fuel. I ended paying $30 for complete tank w/ Sending unit, pump etc off a board member.

Start with the relay it's cheap [patriot]
