I have a 87 5.0 and my problem is that it will start right up when its cold or been at least an hour from the last time i drove it, but after i drive the car and its warmed up and say i go into a store and back out a couple min. later i will start rev from about 900 -1200 rpms and then die out what could it be?

TPS, ECT or O2 sensors. Hard to say with out knowing what error codes your EEC is giving out.

the tps has been replaced less than a year ago,what is the ect? I think it could 02 sensors though because i had this problem right after i put my o/r h on. How would i know if the eec is giving codes if the check engine light doesn't come on?

WHEN THE MODULE GETS HOT THATS WHEN IT DOES'NT WORK AND WHEN IT COOLS DOWN IT WILL WORK AGAIN

ohhh i see, so that could be it then but how could i make sure thats the problem, and not the o2 sensors?
