My car really needs some new shocks. can you tell me the best shocks that are out there, from your opinion?

bilstein are absolutely top of the line.

From what I have seen, it does not get much better.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. Bilsteins are hands down the best shocks. I have those on my '94 GT and love them. They might be a little pricey compared to other companies, but definately worth the money. Match the Bilstein shocks up with some H&R springs and you'll have a very nice setup for a reasonable price.

How is the ride quality w/ Bilsteins? Are they really stiff? I have KYBs w/ Eibach pro sprints and the handling is ok but they feel a bit stiff. However, I don't really have much to compare it to.

the ride is very comfortable for me, but there are too many variables to say just the bilsteins make it a nice ride.

my setup:

MM flsfc's
MM c/c plates
FMS 'b' springs
bilstein HD's
poly sway end-links
KYB quadshocks
245/50R16 tires on pony's

It rides MUCH nicer than my convertable, which is all stock with 245/50R16s in the rear and 225/55R16's in the front on pony's.
