tweecer r/t can do more, and is cheaper (if you already have a laptop)

pms is easier to use and doesn't need a laptop.

used tweecer once, wasnt really impressed, but maybe if I used it more I would be, not sure on the cost of the unit, but there is also the AEM or SCT pro racer package out there.

Hey Tony,

I have not done any research on the others, but from what I have read on the Tweecer it sounds like a really good deal. If I can't get my car tuned right with the FMU when I get my new motor, I am going to switch to 42lb injectors and buy the Tweecer. My cousin has a wideband O2, so I can spend all the time I need tuning it.

Let me know what you find out and which one you go with. I like that the Tweecer can save several tunes. That way I could have an NA tune, a 8psi tune, a 10psi tune, and a 12psi tune for when I borrow your 2.95 pulley. The Tweecer can also be loaded with the program on the chip that I am currently running for a good starting point.

I am still trying to decide on a motor. I am waiting for Fords Boss 302 block to be released this year so I can see what it is all about. If it is no good, then I am going to use a Dart Sportsman block with a Forged 3.25 stroke crank. The cost is getting insane to make it strong!

When is the baby due? Basim told me that you are having a boy. Cool!

Good Luck with the car and the baby,
Craig

I'm still undecided! Need to do more research on both to decide.

I haven't had any problems with the tweecer once I actually knew how to use the fucking thing.

Did take me a while. [Big Grin]

you might as well order one, FMU's are not a tuning aid, they are a band aid

It seems like it depends on how much time you want to spend dialing the car in. TwEECer's have a huge learning curve and are not as 'user friendly' as the PMS is. The PMS really is plug and play, while with a tweecer there is so much information available and so many tables, etc. to deal with it may take a while to find out exactly what values need to be changed and such. That being said, it does offer more capability than the PMS, is cheaper, and datalogs. [patriot]

After spending 9k on a roof, 5k on medical bills, and what looks like is going to be 6k on a motor, I will not be able to spend the extra $900 on 42lb injectors and the Tweecer. If I can't get a good AFR with the FMU and 30lb injectors, then I will have to run it NA for a while until I can afford the rest.

Besides, I had a good AFR before and it put out some good #'s on the dyno as well as times at the track. It worked fine for me before. I have chips that Byron programmed for me over the mail that take out some fuel to keep the FMU from causing a super rich condition. I have 4 different fuel curves that I can use along with different static fuel pressure and FMU discs to dial in the AFR.
