Ride: 00' GT
Upgrades: Single chamber flows, Steeda intake kit, Eibach Sportline springs. Next ugrade is an O/R H or X pipe.

OK guys, turning to you for advise.I don't know what gears and pinion best fit me and my style of driving. I'm new to muscle cars therefore do not know of anyone that has a mustang with gear upgrades. All I can tell you about my driving style is a like Fwy speed than 1/4 mile but I do love the occasional light to light battle even though I haven't had one since I got my stang.

Tell me which one you think I should get and why. What are the pros and cons between the two and I will have to decide what to sacrifice if any. Thanks again!

373, i think its the best all aroud gear ratio, 4.10 is more directed towards 1/4

to me 410's arent for you if your car gets on the freeway frequently. 373's are perfect mixture of street strip IMO.

don't listen to these cats

For a heavy modular car that need more RPM than a 5.0 to make power, 4.10s all the way!

Is it an automatic or manual? I think with the auto you should throw 4:10's in there and 3:73's with a stick. But really the difference between the two when coming to gas mileage is around 1-2 mpg, but if you are worried about gas mileage, then gears arent for you man! [patriot]

heres a simple run down...what n8y8 said by the way is dead on....4:10s give you more bang for light to light or 1/4 mile runs and alot less on the freeway...main purpose of 4:10s are short distance runs....

3:73s good gain for light to light very very noticiable gain and freeway is still comfy your not over revving just to cruise at 80

id say daily drivin and still want the go on the freeway get 373s

I have a manual transmission and I'm not that worried about gas mileage.

If your keeping it NA then 4.10s all the way. Even if you drive on the freeway alot. 80mph is 3k rpm.

I had 4.10's in my 93 Cobra and loved it, your 00GT should do better with them, don't be scared of 4.10's they are a beautiful gear. I'd run them now but I am going turbo on my 91.

3.73s are the best if your car is on the street a lot. 4.10s are more for 1/4 mile runs.
