So rotating assembly is 2 grand and install 3 grand so 5 grand shiet. OK so a forged small block 2700, would it be cheaper to just have a small block put in and remove old engine? Price cost of swapping engines?

if you mean shortblock, then you still have to pay for the heads to be installed and then into the car. Still going to be the same or more.

Why not buy a used block and have a machine shop put it all together? It will save you the cost of having to tear the old shit out of your current motor.
Then you can either bolt the heads on yourself or have them do it.
Are you re-using the heads you have or getting new ones?
You can save yourself a bunch of money by swapping motors yourself.

You would need to get a block and have it machined to fit your parts. If you have standard size pistons then maybe a brand new block would be best. $1000-$1500.
Then you need to pull your engine, which cost around $500-$1000. Have your heads gone through: pressure checked, milled, valves ground (maybe) $300-$400. Gaskets $200. install the heads and everything else, around $500-$800. Then put motor back in $500-$1000.
In my experience it is better to have something built locally. If you buy a mail order block and if something is wrong then you have to pay to ship it back. PITA!!!
It could also cost more if you go to the wrong shop. My uncle had all the parts for his 98', except a new block, and he spent $20,000 at RPM in Santa Rosa to have it installed.
So basically, $2300-$3900.....Best of luck
