what year explorers had the gt-40 intake and heads on them?.and will they bolt up to my stock 302 with NO problems at all?thanks

Will not bolt up to a stock 302 lower. It has to be a Cobra or GT-40 lower. Even then you will have to plug the egr port on the lower because the explorer upper does not have the runner in the manifold.

I think he meant to his stock 302 bottem end, which they will bolt up to just fine. The stock valve springs are weak and the P heads don't work with all headers.

1996 & early 97 had the GT40 heads. Mid 97 on had the GT40p heads which take a special header if you use them. The early manifold will have the suffix BA on the numer on the front of the manifold.
