gears gears gears!!!!! get 4:30's and some drag radials or slicks.

intakes do pretty good on these as well since the stock on gets really small to clear the strut tower brace. i picked up a tenth from a short ram intake alone.
then of course full bolt ons, exhaust, shifter, suspension.

what do you want to do with the car?

my car:
96 cobra, 116k miles
jlt RAI
off road h
tri ax shifter
eibach springs
13.64@105 2.2 60'

Well basicly im going to do all the boltons now that i have a better job lol. So i was wondering what the best mods would be...

best bang for your buck it going to be 4:30 gears, i havent done them yet because with 116k i want to rebuild the rear end instead of just slapping gears in it

sorry to steal your thunder but i had a question about my 96 too. im torn between my gear ratio. i didnt know if i wanted 3.73's or 4.10's. then someone mentioned that i should go middle of the road and get 3.90's. you guys think 3.90's would run nicely? and what were you fellas launcing at off the line because im still tryna get it down

Depends on what u want, do u want a 1/4 car or a street cruiser, if u like going to the track a lot i would get some 4.30 just b/c modular engines make all of there power on high rpms, if u want a street and some track then go with 4.10's dont bother with 3.90's, i have 3.73 on 00 gt and i regret going with them, and if u are worried about launcing then invest some money on control arms and tires.

Oh and for the person that ask about the bbk cai, there is really nothing wrong with it i used to have one, but the only problem is that its metal and its next to the engine so it pulls hot ait instead of cold air like its suppost too [patriot]
