A mach 1 can motor can probably handle about 400 with out problems, but even then, the stock powdered metal rods can fail at mid beam and punch a hole threw the engine block. I personally would not add a blower to my car unless I upgraded the connecting rods.

6-8 lbs of boost on stock internals

then why do i hear all this people saying that they call pull 500rwhp out of stock bottom mach1 are they just crazy or what the real ponteantial(sp) of the car?

You can get a stock block'd Mach 1 to dyno at 500rwhp. How long will it last on the street like that if it's driven hard at all? Probably not too long.

remember mach 1's has a high compression engine so by putting a blower u are not going to be able to run not that much boost and even then it might take a shit, if i were u i will put a 100 shot of nitrous and a nice tune and call it a day, or put all the bolts ons and 4.30 gears and some slicks and u have your self a low 12 second or maybe high 11 seconds car [Cool]

Check out the mach1 registry, there's several guys running 8+ w/ and w/o aftercoolers...
That would be the best place to ask, since they have mach1's that are s/c'd [patriot]
