my car cranks and everything but it wont start and everything is connected right so i was wondering what the problem might be. could it be that my fuel pump is out? thanks.

do you have fuel pressure? how much?

do you get spark? Is the timing set right or did you recently pull the distributor?

i reset the timing again. it should be right. i haven't checked the pressure. what's the easiest way?

a fuel pressure guage on the shrader valve on the fuel line right behind the alternator - looks a bit like a tire valve stem.

yea i know which one, all i need is a pressure gauge and i'm set right.

yep a guage hooked up right there will tell you if you have fuel pressure or not.

you want about 36psi with the key on and engine off, also watch to see if it bleeds off really fast, would point to a bad check valve in the fuel pump (bad fuel pump)

if i do have a bad fuel pump what would be a good one to replace it with?

a walbro, I got mine from here as they seemed to be the cheapest:
http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/

really depends on your plans with the car and what mods, the stock pump is 90lph

what about with headers, cai, upper and lower intake don't know what kind, o/r x pipe and 4.10 gears just for right now.

a 190lph should be good for a while...

255lph if you go with a power adder...

Do You hear the pump turn on when You turn the key to the accesory position, should humm for about 3 second's. If You don't hear it it is possibly You fuel pump relay, which in most cases is located under the carpet under the driver's seat.
