are you sure it doesn't say "may need" to shave parts.

a harwood should fit w/ no mods at all.

now an abc exclusive hood might say....requires a complete reworking to even come close to closing.

as far as sanding...as long as there are no major defects/ scratches etc. you should finish it w/ 600...prime it, wet-sand it w/ 1200-1800 and finish coat it.

2.Trial fit the hood: Do not bold to the hinges yet. The rolled edge on the Harwood fiberglass hood must be trimmed down to gain clearance for windshield wipers, rubber hood bummpers, and/or adgjacent body panels. This can be done with air tools or by hand blocking with coarse sandpaper. It is very important to tril fit several times while in the process of trimming these edges.....then it says CAUTION: if your vehicle has a cowl-vent panel between the hood and windshield, it will be necessary to trim the back edge of the hood to clear the cowl panel when raising the hood. Remove hood and trim as required until no interference exists. sorry sooo long. so do i gotta drill? to fit the latch assembly? and has anyone done this before? thx
