according to that website, he didnt connect the 2 black/orange wires to the power stud, and on the ford muscle write up they connected the 2 wires to it. im going to connect them to the stud, to be safe. what is the difference in not connecting the 2 wires and connecting them?

I haven't unloomed that portion of my harness yet so I don't know exactly what is connected to those 2 leads.

mine are plugged in to the alt along with the 4awg wire, doing so can't hurt.

now my next ques is should i leave the 3g pulley on it or use the 2g pulley, i will be running a sound system, and blac magic fan, and heater when its cold. so should i stick with the stock 3g pulley?

I wouldn't fuck with the pulley. It should work fine.

How much did you pay for it? Is there a reason that you ordered the 4guage wire from pa preformance? Iam doing the same thing on thursday but i was going to get the wire from car quest is there any why I shouldn't?

wire is wire...

I get wire from allelectronics.com

here's some 4awg for pretty cheap, I used this to do my 3g upgrade:

GL, I have the stock 94+ alternator on my 93. I have a decent stereo with sub and amp, electric fan, AOD, and the 3 power pullies installed. When in D at a stop with lights on and EVERYTHING it goes down to about 1/4, but compared to stock, THIS IS GREAT!

For your pulley...use the smallest one you have. [patriot]

the orange and black wires are just the old wiring setup for teh smaller alternator. I didn't hook up mine cause they are worthless. They'd probably catch on fire from all the power from the alt.
You don't need to connect those up if your getting a 4ga power wire.

so what should i do with those wire then? cap them off? so of the 3 wires i just use the white/black strator wire, correct? and the other connector i just plug right back in.i get the power wire and strator wire in monday, so this weekend i can trim the bracket and prep everything, so when i get the power wire i just have to run that and be done.

Don't forget the stator connector.
They were available on many 94+ Fords (not just Mustangs).

Also be prepared to grind a bit of the bracket.

ya i almost forgot that, i had to cal pa performance, the next day to add that to my order, would a dremel be strong enough to cut the piece out of the bracket?

As a safety issue, PA performance suggests running an inline fuse (definitely a good idea)with a high output alternator. They sell their fuse (200a) and holder for $25. I discovered a much cheaper solution. On the back of the intake manifold on all '90's Ford Contours (the yards are full of 'em) is this nifty little inline fuse holder w/175a fuse. Cost me $3 at Pick-n-Pull and works like a charm!
