Help horrible sputtering when driving seems to get better after 3000rpms. Any Ideas? [Confused]

Need details on your car. Check for codes. It may be a faulty TPS.

Try cleaning your cap and rotor

Then with the car idleing, pull one wire at a time and see if one dosen't make the engine run worse when pulled, if there is one like that test the resistance of the wire, pull the plug and inspect it, if its good re-gap it and put a screwdriver to the injector on the bad cyl and put your ear on the handle, the injector should make a clicking noise

Like the above post suggests, it sounds like you may have one or more cylinder misfires. The reason why it seems to smooth out above 3000 RPMS is because the momentum of the engine revolutions will carry it past the misfire. An injector not spraying will cause a lean misfire, but the most common problem is an ignition misfire (plugs, wires, cap, rotor). An easy way to check if the wires are causing the misfire is to spray some water on the spark plug wires with the engine running. If the wires are the culprit, you should be able to see or hear them arc.
