whats the right wat to put them on????? i was told to just throw them on and torque them down to 25lbs since they have no adjustment.well i did and know they make hella noise????please help

If you add shims it will only give them more clearance and make them even more loud. Are the lifters new or was the motor apart? I had a set of used factory roller lifters in a rebuilt motor take quite a while to pump up and quiet down.

I have the same problem with mine... it seems like the push rods are just a hair short or that the lifters have not pumped up yet. Shimming them will only make the gap larger as stated earlier... so what should be done??

Ive put about 300 miles on the new engine, shouldnt that be more than enough time to pump up the lifters if that was the case??

I just talked to notch and told him how to adjust the rockers and i am going to help him tommarow. The roller rocker don't just torque on there like the stock ones.
First you have to have the cylinder in which you are working on on top dead center, then tighten the rocker nut until there is drag on the push rod, then from there you use a torque wrench and torque it, only a half to 3/4 turn with the wrench or else they will be to tight, but make sure the spring isn't compressing to much because if it is then you need shims. Pedestal mount rockers aren't just a bolt on and go if you are using roller rockers, if you use stock rockers then you can just torque on and go, but not roller.
