I just got me a code reader and the code 31 came up does anyone know what might cause this it book said it was evp or pfe circuit below minimum voltage it is a 88 mustang 5.0

EVP=EGR valve position sensor...
EVR=EGR vacuum regulator solenoid...

I'd check if the EGR is blocked, and make sure it's got vacuum and if the EGR position sensor is sticking....
