What is the very best tire to get my budget is about $600 very very tops

I want the tires to have some serious gripping power and a life span of more than 10,000 miles

Help me out.

They will be going on an 89 lx 5.0 rims will be 17x8.5's all around

If you want grip and you want them to last...Nitto Drag raials in the rear and some regular Nittos up front....cost you less than 500 for all 4...but rain will suck bad.....

if you dont want DR's....some BFG Radial TA's will work and cost you about $400 fr all 4

you think 255/40's would be good? I forgot all about tire size.

I was just throwing out a general tire size...40's will give you a little better ride...if you want more handling go with 35's, but the ride will be a little harsher...

I just bought some BFG KDW II's the reviews were all pretty good, and I liked the last set of BFG's I had.
