Im haveing temp issues with my 89 gt.the temp is jumpin around spuraticly from about the half way line to almost the red zone.the car has a new clucth fan, water pump is a year old(auto zone part),brand new thermostat 195*,new radiator cap,and i have flushed the system, and replaced with a 50/50 mix,the cooling system seems to not be holding any pressure,i dont see any pin holes or leaks in the radiator.any ideas on where i should go next?thanks

jack up the front of the car and remove the cap on the radiator, see how low the water level is.
my geuss is you've got air in the system, bleed it with the front end jacked up its a lot faster/easier

my main problem that im have is its not holding pressure thus not alllowing it to work properly.my guess is the radiator, but i dont see or hear any holes in it.
thanks

I'd suggest going to a radiator shop and having a pressure leak check done. They do this by adding a dye into the coolant and inspecting the entire system for leaks using a black light. Shouldn't be too much money, but it may not be a radiator. Could be heater core, that goofy heat block on the intake at the throttle body, who knows.

Stock temp guage? The $5 sending unit could be going bad.

is there any coolant anywhere spilling?...my a bad hose or something....or gasket on thermostat...???...i remember when i changed my thermostat toa 195...i changed the hoese too and i went to work...and noticed something leaking when i was polishing my rims on my lunch break and realized when i did my colland exchange at home i forgot to clip back the ring on the hose which was kinda dumb...lol
