Will my 88 LX run with just long tubes, or will it be too loud for the knock sensor? If not do I just have the knock sensor tuned out of the computer?

Yes we do have them on our cars the knock sensor is mounted on the front next to the radiator gasket

Yeah Yeah Yeah....Mine was under the turn signal fluid reservoir, see I do have one!!
