Just picked up a 92 and the speedo reads higher than it's going (stock gears etc) and bounces. It works as in goes up and down as it should, just bounces a lot and reads high. Any help is always appreciated.

The speedo gear has maybe 3 teeth left on it. I'd pull the gear and take a look.

does that also apply if the speedo reads fine under 65, but over 65 is reads about 100+mph?

I thought it was the cable, if its just the gear that would be a lot easier

If you pull the gear and it looks ok, check the routing of the cable itself. It may have a kink or sharp bend in it.

yeah mine jumps to 80mph when going 15mph.and then everywhere.

i figured that after seeing and hearing paulo's car..
