How hard is it to take the stock dash clock out and install Guages there? Do i have to pull out the entire dash to get the clock out?

on my 96 cobra it has hinges on the front so just pull up and forward

It's really easy, it just pulls right up and out...I've installed a couple of guage pods and the Saleen one doesn't fit half as well as the Autometer one(sorry John )

What gauges do you plan on running?....I forget the name,. but somebody sells a 2 5/8 gauge pod that looks pretty cool, its big though...

Oh i was just wondering. My dash clock doesn't work when i turn on my headlights. It turns off and sometimes it turns on for a second or so.
I've always liked the look of guages right there. So i was just wondering if i decide to do that how hard it would be.

the clock pod pops out and you need to remove the stereo/vent panel to run all the wiring and tubing. Pretty easy if you have ever removed your stereo.

Definitely do it, I hated the look of the cheapo clock in the middle of the dash.

The autometer pod fits fine but is very ugly and looks cheap (it is all plastic) I ended up switching to the Saleen pod and it looks much better (vinyl covered). The fit is also fine.

yeah, I have the Saleen pod installed and the autometer just sitting around somewhere. I'll take some pics tonight and will try to post it tomorrow for you.

Here you go, hope it helps. btw, if you want the autometer pod, I can let it go for cheap since I have no more use for it. I have all the bolts and fasteners that come with it.
