I was trying to finish up connections to my '88's wiring harness and I found that the connector for the mass air is square while the MAF sensor is Oval-ish.

Is the 87-93 MAF sensor plug an Oval shape? The plug on my harness is a SQUARE plug . Am I looking at the wrong connector?
Is mine speed density? It's an '88 LX original 5.0 from California so I thought it wasn't.

2 different plugs one is square one is oval ish, u just gotta get the right plug for your MAF or a different MAF for that plug. Unless it has 6 pins, which I doubt, but that would be for a 96+ car.

u can order the adapter from ford, its for a stock 94-95 mustang.

The square plug is for 88 CA cars only. The easy way around this is either swap the plug to the later style or like Matt said, order the adapter.

Or of course, get a 88 MAF. [Smile]
