What are the cam specs? 300rwhp is possible.

if the cam was degreed and you know how to mess with timing and fp on the dyno, then i'd guess 295rwhp and 310 tq

Jersey doesn't have the Cobra i don't.... think it's for his Fox.
By the way Jersey if we are on the same page about the dyno just remember that it's a Mustang Dyno
Hope to see you and your buddy's Saturday!

Cobra is resting in peace..
It's for a 91 notch back
Its a crane cam 444-225
These are the specs:
Lift: Intake @Cam 302 @Valve 513 All Lifts are based
on zero lash and theoretical rocker arm ratios.
Exhaust @ Cam 311 @Valve 529
Rocker Arm Ratio 1.70
I thought i would be close to 300rwhp
I guess not.

Patrick, i don't think my friends will make it. one has to work and the other, who might reply to this thread, is getting a new clutch installed just so he doesn't have any excuses for when we race on labor day.
I'll try to be there.
Good luck

I've heard that the Mustang Dyno will report less HP than the Dyno Jet. I would guess 279HP and over 300lb torque.

u are funny jersey, i just don't want my car to brake at the track, plus i already had satuday plan for other things and since u said that it was on sunday i was going to suprice u and just show up. Plus there no point of me going to the dyno if my clutch is slipping and i would not seem the true power. no matter what your car is putting more power then mine and is lighter too , i just can't wait to get my cams on then it will a good race.

What about the duration at .050" lift? Lift doesn't tell much.
Posted by Jmir018 (Member # 1414) on

Carlos .. both of our cars are trapping almost the same mph. shoudld be a good race regardless.. let's get it on video.
Pluss.. you'll get to race paulo.. i know you can take him..
So.. around 270sh to the rear? i was hoping it'd be a bit more.
thanks everyone

duration at .050" is 214/220

it will be funny if paulo beats both of us but i don't think that will ever happend

264HP/290TQ
Should be good for mid-high 12's in that notch @105-107mph.

W/ that cam I agree that you will be a quite a bit below 300. It is not aggressive enough duration a .200"
Posted by Jmir018 (Member # 1414) on
:
Should i have gone with a more aggressive cam?
Posted by Hungry Hippo (Member # 537) on
:
if its a mustang dyno, it will be a lot lower than a dynojet
Posted by losbadgt (Member # 4394) on
:
i think the cam that u have is good enough, remember u have a 93 engine not as strong as the earlier years like my 88

It might not have forged pistons, but will make just as much hp.

On a dyno jet I will guess 280/295 at the wheels. Who cares about dyno #'s let us know what ya do at the track, or how much hp the tune gets ya. Hope it goes well for ya.
