im tryin to rebuild a 5.0 302 and i need to know if ford changed anything on blocks in their years of building. i ask this because im thinking of picking up a bare block n build it up but i need to know if there are differences then my 1994 302 5.0 motor out of a gt mustang so that everything will fit right going back in. gracias [Whoo Whooooo!]

Nope, all the 302 blocks were the same from 85-late 97 or 98 when the Explorer line of 5.0's stopped.

I thought the older motors had the dipstick up front and not on the rear drivers side [Confused]

Yea thats the only difference is where the dip stick is but that doesnt matter at all.
