im having a probelem,with a 96 mustang gt.theres a noise coming from the transmission, i thought it was coming from the engine somewhere and it wasnt.the transmission shifts good in all gears with no grinds,them when i put it in neutrul it starts to make a noise like if it were hitting something. ive also noticed that when i take off it kinda laggs. what could be the problem?? i need help??

Wait a sec i haven't checked the board lately is this a new problem or still the same with the damaged spark plug [Confused]

What ended up being the culprit with the motor?

i thought the noise was coming from the motor but it is coming from the transmission.the motor seems to be fine.when i put it in neutrul the transmission starts to make a noise.when i take off,its slow.what could it be?? need help.

you sure its not the clutch fork hitting against the bellhousing?

MINE DOES THE SAME THING I'VE BEEN TOLD TO ADJUST MY CLUTCH CABLE BUT HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET, BUT THE NOISE DOES GO AWAY WHEN I PRESS IN THE CLUTCH.

sounds like a clutch issue bro. you might have a Throw Out Bearing going bye bye.
