I have an 86 mustang that is experiencing idiling issues. Sometimes when I drive it seems like it is going to stall but I hit the gas to keep it going but when I stop at a stop light or stop sign it will die unless I keep my foot on the gas. I have checked the tps with the key on and it read .82 and when the car is on it read 2.88, tell me how the hell that is, I'm a little new to the mustang thing but from all of the posts that I have read they say it should not be more than .98 or 1.0.

I had a similar problem. Check out this thread http://www.californiafords.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=011683#000007 and try the ideas there, especially the 10-pin part.
