how will a 160* and 180* thermostat affect the cooling system, my radiator has a several holes in it that and so i just ordered a aluminum radiator by ron davis from central coast mustang, and i have a electric 2800cfm max fan that turns on at 185 and off at 170 i think, how will each thermostat affext the temp and cooling characteristics?

If you run a thermostat that is too low then the computer may not think the car is at operating temperature. I would run a 180 thermostat. You should have no cooling problems with a 180 and that aluminum radiator.

Do NOT get a 160...
It is simpy too low and will cause your thermostat to be open too often...

i got the stock 198 stat. and have no problems with cooling. it stays around 205 all the time. remember heat is power..... just too much is bad. running at 210 is ok.
