Yes and No. Yes, if you don't have a hand held tuner such as a predator, superchips, etc. No, if you have one of those to turn off the engine light. If you have no cat's, it will trigger you Check Engine Light. That's pretty much it.

if u don't have a chip or a tuner then yes u will need it cause then your car may run like shit cause of the sencors.
