tokico are very soft...even the adjustable ones dont work very well. remmeber, you get what you pay for....and $300 for shocks/struts = junk....

ok, so i take it my 99 has tokico struts/shocks. are these the adjustible ones (stock). if so, how do you adjust them? ty

ooh yea, and i really dont like how they feel(really soft). i cant wiat to get some Koni struts/shocks and eibach springs.

tokico 5ways are stiff, but the rest of the tokicos are poop. ive even heard some iffy things about the 5way, and how even adjusting them to a soft ride doesnt work....true?

ya, so with koni or bilstein. cant go wrong with either of them. i have bilsteins, and love em.

not to steal the thread away, what would be a good suspension setup for a 2003 mach1? I'm thinking ill go with the H&R SS springs, but i'm not sure on the shocks

i've used tokico blues, tokico adj., and now koni yellows. tokico blues are too soft, but decently priced if you're on a budget. their adj. shocks isn't that great for the price. even on their stiffest setting, i still bottomed out. after only 2-3 yrs, the rears blew out, fluid leaked. i replaced them with koni yellows and couldn't be happier. they are pricey, but well worth it. their middle setting is as stiff as tokico's stiffest setting. after all that, i wouldn't go with any other shocks/struts. hope this helps.

go with coilovers in the front (bilstein or koni coilover kits) with 350lb. coilover springs, and h&r springs in the rear....youll be set [Wink]

I thoguht about coilovers but i want street or strip, i am going to stick with H&R springs, whats the best site out there for bilstein shocks?

Posted by Mach0ne351 (Member # 927) on :

you just want rear shocks? not front and back? dude coilovers will be jsut fine for street and strip bro...just keep conventional springs in the rear...

Would be nice but i dont have all the money to put coils on the front, would be cheeper for me to do H7R all the way around with bilsteins front and rear, Building this for SEMA I need to watch my money.

you can get a set of 03/04 cobra bilsteins from www.fordpartsnetwork.com or goto www.maximummotorsports.com for actual bilstein factory shocks/struts

btw, how do u enter into SEMA bro??? i would be interested in going to show my cobra as well to promote parts....can you give me more info in PM please [Smile]
