Hey guys, I recently got my 86GT running and I'm hearing this weird clacking sound from the drivers side of the motor, I thought maybe my rocker were torqued too much (26 ft-lbs) so I loosened them and re-torqued them (18 ft-lbs) but it's still making the clacking sound. [Frown]

Now, I was told all I had to do was put my rockers on and just bolt them down, well, is there any sort of adjustment I have to do or something? If not, could my lifters be bad?

All help appreciated, thanks.

There was a post the other day about how to tighten rocker arms. I think there's some good info in there: http://www.californiafords.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=011236

Loud metal type, I have another engine sitting around. I'm going to jack the lifters out of that, swap'em and re-tighten the rockers,etc..

Thank you for that link! [worship]
