a friend of mine has a 93gt.he currently has 3:55 an he is giong to be runnin 150shot of nos.the question was this what would be better better gears for him 3:55 or 4:10s??? [Confused]

With 4.10s, he might run out of gear by the end of the 1/4. I would stay with 3.55s, or go with 3.73s instead. i have 4.10s and a 150 shot, but at the track i plan on running a 28" tall tire in order to keep the rpms down.

question: if u were running 4.10's u guys think u would be ready to red line before u got to the finish line, and having to shift to 5th?

What size tire though?
4.10s would be fine if you have a 28" tall tire.
I have 4.10s, a 5 speed, h/c/i and a 150 shot and with my 26" tall nittos i would run out of gear before the traps.

My car with 4.10s on motor barely be in fourth gear...low rpm(stick)...12.0 at 112.

On the jug, I would go through the traps at 6200 rpms with a C4 and a 150 shot...10.8 at 123.

By the way, this was with 28x10.5 ET Drags.

with ur gears and those tires youll be good maybe first might spin alot but if u know how 2 launch then ur good [Big Grin] . now ur gears and a 150 shot with those tires not very good at at third gear is koo but not second. my friend had 275/40/17 nitto extreme drags and everytime he squeesed on second he would just be all over the lane. [Frown]
