For some reason the throttle body on my mustang will stick sometimes. it is a edelbrock 70mm and when I start it up it is fine but when I drive around it does not close enough and it keeps reving to 1500-1800rpm If I step on it again in neutral it unsticks. any ideas how I can fix it?
Thanxx

Edelbrocks are known for sticking. I had one and did the same thing. If you want to fix that get a accufab or motorsport TB.

On my 03 w/ an Accufab it would stick slightly and hang at about 1000-1200 rpm and i would have to manually push the TB arm ever-so-slightly to get it to close and bring the rpm's back down to 750-900 rpm

I just squirted some WD-40 on the return spring and it actually worked and allowed the spring to fully unwind.

Give it a try it's free [Big Grin]

I would also check your throttle cable and make sure it isn't kinked or hitting anything (like the valve covers).

Whatever you do fix it before it ends up sticking all the way open. If this happens you could have a really bad day.

Don't ask me how I know this [Wink]

Mine stuck as well. I lubed the linkage and all the workings. I used litium greese and W-D 40. It has not stuck again. Every thing needs to move smoothley. [Big Grin]

just like the other guys had said, check right near the throttle calble hook up on your throttle body. there are alot of wires that the cable can get held up by.
