I was wondering what the difference between the two was and if they only connect with headers or do they work with stock exhaust manifolds.

They work fine with stock hook ups. The difference is one looks like an "H", the other looks like an "X". H pipes sound more old school i guess you could say as the X pipe sounds more raspy and not as deep as an H. X-pipe's i beleive give you more performance gains, but i could be wrong on that. Alot of 5.0's mainly stick with an H-pipe while the modular 4.6's go with an X..

someone once told me that the H gives you more low end, X gives you more top end, and the Prochamber gives you both. Dont know if its true, i run a X on my windsor
