Lately i've been hearing what sounds like a continuous grindin noise coming from my tranny (clutch) or that area...when i step on the clutch slightly it goes away. It shifts fine no grinds or nothing just that noise...
Thanks

Throwout bearing I bet

i'd bet your stock aluminum bearing retainer is worn out, and when you toch the clutch a bit it gets it out of the "groove" that it has made

get a steel one...they are about 10 bucks, but you need to pull the trans to put in on.

and personally i'd do the clutch and pp while i was in there...but thats just me

How long should it take to do it?

Depends on your experience, first time with all the tools I would say you could get the tranny out in a couple hours, the retainer is 4 bolts(EASY!) and then install a new clutch and resurface the flywheel.

its throw out, mine had the same thing, its kind of a chirping/whining noise? if so its the throw out bearing. I hate that noise
