OK, I think I almost understand what you tried to type...Please use complete sentences when using the Tech Forum...It makes it easier for everyone to read and that way you get more and better responses...

To answer what I think was your question, is that you can basically install your MSD box whenever you like...Keep an eye on your cap and rotor condition when you use your MSD...I'd go through cap and rotors quite often after the install of my MSD coil and MSD box...

Basically, depending on what your mods are right now, the stock ignition is pretty strong...There is no doubt that the MSD distributor is better than the stock Ford one, but a properly working stock distributor is more than adequet for most mildly modded Stangs....

Good luck... [patriot]

I would put it on now. Not sure if you will see a power increase but your car will run a little smoother and you may see a slight gas mileage increase. You can also increase the gap on your plugs.

While you are at it upgrade your plug wires if you haven't already done so.

I agree with the other two. Put it on now i run my MSD without a distributor. I noticed it ran a lot smooother when i installed it.
I've never had any problems with the cap and rotor though. [Confused]
